BEE CLUB WORK SHOP. . June 18th from 11:30 to 3:00
We will be checking for, disease, mites, queens, queen cell mating check, checking nucs and splitting hives.
Trying to plan days to work the clubs hives and to have bee meetings in the bee yard has been difficult due to the poor weather, and constant changing forecast of the weather this year.
We are meeting up in the bee yard. June 18th, starting at about 11:30 to 3:30. We will check on the hives that was resupered and requeened for having brood that has been effected with Varroa vectored viruses. We will see if our actions which include requeening and placing the bees on clean equipment worked. We will also be equalizing and supering hives for the hopeful upcoming honey flow. We will also be setting up some 2 and 3 queen colonies as to increase our honey yield from small hive that have not built up fully yet.
The bee club apiary is on Spiers rd. To get there drive east on KLO Rd. cross Mission Creek bridge and turn right onto Spiers rd. about 300 meters down, turn left into field we are at the south end.
