This Sunday Aug 23rd,
The North Okanagan Beekeepers Club has an Apiary, which we set up in conjunction with the Culinary Arts Department of Okanagan College.
This coming Sunday Aug 23rd, 2020 we are planning another inspection of the apiaries hives.
We need to pull the honey supers from the hives, in preparation for taking them to the college to extract.
We can have a discussion on different methods of pulling honey and on strategies to reduce robbing at this time of year.
We can also talk about the various mite treatments etc., if people are interested.
In addition, I also have a more items to unload into the container.
**Please also bring your own drinks or water, so we can avoid social interaction. Remeber to social distance.
It will be held at the North Okanagan Beekeepers Bee yard on Spiers Rd. starting around 9:30 AM, wrapping up around 12:00 PM.
Travel east on KLO Rd. and just after crossing Mission Creek turn right onto Spiers Rd. go 300 meters and turn left into the field and follow the road.
