Who We Are:

We are a Branch of the British Columbia Honey Producers Association (BCHPA). Our primary goal is to educate, improve the quality of beekeeping and create a healthier environment for bees in the Okanagan Valley and beyond.  Our members come from all over but Kelowna is our home base. We meet as a group the third Monday of each month September thru April.

Everyone is welcome to come to our monthly meetings and your attendance is complimentary for your first two meetings, after that membership is required.  You have two options for membership.  1.  You can join the BCHPA for an annual Membership fee of $40/year and receive the benefits of club meetings, education opportunities, provincial and national publications, conference and product discounts and reduced rates on insurance.  Go to www.bchoneyproducers.ca for membership registration and more information.  2. If you don’t want to join the provincial association, you can join our club for $20/year (January to December).

Our local meetings consists of some business but mostly educational opportunities.  Guest speakers keep us up to date on best beekeeping practices, products and news.  Our members provide mentoring to newer beekeepers and are eager to answer questions.  We also have field days, workshops and social gatherings.  Give us your email address and we will add you to our monthly info email list.
